Quick forwards, creative midfielders, stalwart defenders — the 2025 boys soccer Dream Team has it all.

We combed through past seasons’ performances, considered returning all-state standouts and state champs, and pinpointed some of the must-watch returners in Minnesota this fall.

This preseason squad, listed in alphabetical order, has enough talent for two top-rated starting 11s to face off against each other in a can’t-miss game, but the talent in Minnesota extends far and wide beyond these 22 student-athletes.

Hermis Alvarado Reyes

Willmar, senior, midfielder

The all-state defensive midfielder’s accurate passes and field vision helped him tally 14 assists for the Cardinals.

Wyatt Anderson

Buffalo, senior, defender

Anderson, a 6-foot center back, was a consistent presence in seven Buffalo shutouts and was one of only two non-senior defenders to receive a Class 3A all-state nod last fall.

Ethan Brown

Rosemount, senior, midfielder

Already a two-time all-state honoree, Brown scored three game-winning goals last fall as the Irish reached the Class 3A Section 3 title game.

David Carter

Rochester John Marshall, senior, goalkeeper

The Class 3A all-state keeper towers at 6-4, with sharp play-reading ability. He blocked a reported 95.5% of shots faced last year.

Jeremy Cordeiro

Wayzata, senior, midfielder

The Trojans captain can impact the game as a box-to-box center or defensive midfielder and is also Wayzata’s go-to taker on set pieces.

Preston Craig

Lakeville North, senior, goalkeeper

The agile second-team all-state shot stopper posted eight shutouts and a 0.95 goals-against average last fall.

John Fallah

Osseo, senior, forward/midfielder

Fallah, who scored 22 goals last season, is an athletic attacker who can play just about anywhere on the front line. Fallah pulls double-duty as a kicker for the football team.

Elvis Hernandez Paz

Simley, senior, forward/midfielder

Hernandez Paz can play anywhere on the field and is a scoring threat with either leg. He heads into his fifth year of varsity soccer coming off a 16-goal, 16-assist season.

Thomas Hopkins

Holy Angels, senior, defender

Hopkins is a versatile all-state outside back for a Stars team that conceded only seven goals last year and won the Class 2A state title.

Elijah Jensen

Minnehaha Academy, senior, midfielder

The attacking midfielder has the technical ability to cook up offensive opportunities for himself and others, finishing with 14 goals and 12 assist for the Redhawks last fall.

Everett Johnston

Maple Grove, senior, midfielder

Johnston can score from anywhere, leading Maple Grove with 15 goals as the Crimson reached their first Class 3A title game last fall.

Moses Kamara

Armstrong, senior, forward

Kamara gracefully evades defenders. He put his powerful shot to use to net 24 goals last year.

Jabari Kibisu

Totino-Grace, senior, forward/midfielder

With precise passing to set up his teammates and the speed to sneak past back lines for his own goals, Kibisu scored 24 times during the Eagles’ state runner-up 2024 season.

Xavier Klun

Richfield, senior, forward

Klun’s composure on the ball and game awareness helped him score more than 70% of Richfield’s goals last fall: 26 total, from all over the attacking third.

Stephan N’da

St. Paul Como Park, junior, forward

N’da’s creativity on the ball helped him lead the St. Paul City Conference in combined goals and assists, with 13 of each, and he was the only sophomore to earn Class 2A all-state first-team honors last year.

Eric Noll

Eagan, senior, midfielder

Noll was chosen the team MVP thanks to his team-high 16 goals and 13 assists during Eagan’s Class 3A state title season in 2024.

Jacob Oliver of St. Cloud Cathedral led Minnesota with 43 goals last fall. (St. Cloud Cathedral)

Jacob Oliver

St. Cloud Cathedral, senior, midfielder

Oliver led all of Minnesota boys soccer in scoring last season with 43 goals as the Crusaders finished third in Class 1A.

Zayan Oliyath

Eagan, junior, forward

Oliyath, coming off a 15-goal season, can strike from just about anywhere — exemplified by a hat trick in last year’s Class 3A state championship game.

James Parish

Holy Angels, senior, forward

The All-State forward recorded team highs in goals (18) and assists (10) for last year’s Class 2A state champion.

Ellis Preissing

Breck, junior, defender

His speed and a curling long-range shot make Preissing one to watch on both sides of the ball for Breck, which reached the Class 1A quarterfinals last year.

Marlon Seahorn Jr.

Bloomington Kennedy, senior, forward

With a strong summer club season after a knee injury in last year’s section playoffs, Seahorn is back and looking to add to his 50 career goals.

John Tesdall

Eagan, senior, defender

Tesdall was the defensive MVP for a Wildcats team that conceded only 12 goals last fall, winning the program’s first Class 3A state title.
